Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not after Christ. .. - Colossians 2:8 Beware
of human sophistries .-
of human sophistries .-
The natural stubbornness of the human heart resists the light of truth. His natural pride in their opinions leads to an independence of view and stick to philosophy and human ideas. In some there is a constant danger of becoming unstable in the faith due to the desire for originality. Want to find some really new and strange to file, have a new post to lead people. But such a desire is an enemy's trap to capture the mind and away from the truth.
We will witness either initiating new theories as to what is truth and without having in mind the influence that the defense of such theories may have on the minds of listeners, will be launched to defend work their ideas, even if those teachings are in opposition to the belief that has made the Seventh-day Adventists are separated from the world and what they are. The Lord wants to understand their reasons for their faith, underpinned by his belief of what they are convinced is the truth, and do not depart from the faith due to the production of human sophistry. . . [Quoted Col. 2: 8] (RH 8/19/1909).
